Goth Barge III: Dark Waves
September 1, 2019 6pm-2am on Milwaukee River
Goth Barge III was our biggest and boldest event yet! 46 black clad bodies floating down the Milwaukee River for a 3 hour celebration of all things Goth.
This was an Open Bar 21+ $60 event including Soft Drinks & Mixers, Local Brews & House Wine. Call-Vodka, Gin, Rum, Whisky, Brandy, Scotch. Music was provided by DJs Dominion and ECTO. Also first time special guest DJ SpudNikk!!
The celebration continued on dry land during the After Barge after-party at Club Anything. We meet up with everyone that missed the boat. DJs XdominionX, SpudNikk, and ECTO kept the music going until bar close. Snacks and general merriment abound.
Goth Barge II: Even Blacker
August 18, 2018 6pm-10am on Milwaukee River
Our inaugural Goth Barge was so good we knew it needed to become an annual tradition at a minimum. This time around we followed our original recipe and rented a simple pontoon boat on the Milwaukee River. We filled a couple two-tree-four coolers full of beers and mixed drinks. Tied a speaker to the side of the boat and made sail for mischief.
NO DJ's?? NO BARTENDER?? BYOB?? These were rough primitive times for Goth Barge, but we forged on nonetheless. There was a small $35 rider fee and no frills but we had one of the greatest nights of 2018 on that river. Stopping at saloons off the banks of the Milwaukee River. Stopping for oysters and bar food at Barnacle Buds. Dancing and swaying to new and old tunes blasting on our radio. The occasional war cry of GOTH BARGE! at oncoming boats. Pure Heaven.
Goth Barge I: First Wave
August 20, 2017 6pm-10am on Milwaukee River
Goth Barge had humble beginnings.. Summer 2017, A bachelor party for the wonderful Michael Adler to celebrate his marriage to the equally lovely Miranda Kay Levy. As with most events that are the brain child of Mr. Adler... It took on a life of it's own. The guy's had such a good time out on the water we all decided to invite our betters and take a second trip. And thus, Goth Barge was born.
The maiden voyage of Goth Barge was glorious. Good friends, good music.. Oysters at Barnacle Buds. And the beginnings of the now time honored tradition... The "GOTH BARGE!" war cry. It must be heard to be understood clearly. You must be baptized in the glorious drunken waters of the Milwaukee River to truly feel it. Now it is a part of you, and you are one of us. Welcome to our tribe.
